About Readability Score Checker
Readability Score Checker calculates six established readability formulas simultaneously and displays them in a dashboard alongside actionable improvement suggestions. The Flesch Reading Ease score rates text from 0 to 100 with scores above 70 considered easy for most readers. The Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level translates the same formula into a US school grade level. The Gunning Fog Index estimates the years of formal education needed to read the text. The SMOG Index counts polysyllabic words and is considered accurate for health and safety writing. The Coleman-Liau Index uses character count rather than syllable count. The Automated Readability Index produces a character-based grade level estimate. The improvement suggestions section identifies specific long sentences, lists the five most complex words, and flags high passive voice usage.
